Meet the Author

My photo
I am a woman living life, to it's absolute fullest. I believe in a gracious, passionate God that listens to my insane rambling and let's me ask questions. I thirst for knowledge and connection. I am delightedly married to the most incredible man; he reminds me I'm beautiful every single day. He is in the U.S. Navy, and I am proud to be his wife. I strive to make a difference in the lives of all I meet. Lastly, I don't think contentment is settling for less than fantastic. I am pregnant with the cutest child ever.

Home is Where the Heart Is

I finally realized what this means. My books arrived with the rest of our belongings this weekend. I put them in alphabetical order on a shelf. They look so beautiful. They're beckoning me to crack them open, devour each word. Read, reread, reread again. Now don't get me wrong, my husband has my heart and home will always be where he is. But, my books....my art supplies....my sewing machine....they give me permission to express my heart. I'm glad they're in my house. I'm glad my house is my home. I'm glad my heart is mine.
I start my new job tomorrow. I'll become a government employee (working in the coffee shop on the Navy base). Join me tomorrow for more rambling.

Lovely Blog! Poignant observations. Elegant "ramblings". I share many of your fancies, and most especially your love of books. I am on the other end of your experience. We are preparing to put our house on the market, and our realtor went through the house on Saturday saying, "We'll need to put these books away." "No books there." etc.... I wanted to cry. These are my friends. How do I put them in a box? So glad to have been directed to your blog. I will enjoy visiting.
