Meet the Author

My photo
I am a woman living life, to it's absolute fullest. I believe in a gracious, passionate God that listens to my insane rambling and let's me ask questions. I thirst for knowledge and connection. I am delightedly married to the most incredible man; he reminds me I'm beautiful every single day. He is in the U.S. Navy, and I am proud to be his wife. I strive to make a difference in the lives of all I meet. Lastly, I don't think contentment is settling for less than fantastic. I am pregnant with the cutest child ever.

Mornings

This morning was "one of those mornings." You know, the mornings you wake up with headache, remember your husband had duty and isn't there to kiss you good morning, ponder how weird and disturbing your nighmare was? And then, you go downstairs to take the puppy outside and he has destroyed one of your favorite posters, and peed everywhere? Then, he proceeds to throw up on your couch (Dear Lord, thank you for slipcovers, Amen)?
However, when I stepped outside to let Willy do his business, I realized how beautiful the morning is. I reminded myself to find the beauty in the ordinary. The fresh smell of last nights rain being warmed by the sun, the promise of a gorgeous afternoon. And even, the fact I was there for my puppy when he wasn't feeling well. Heck, the fact I HAVE a puppy, a couch for him to puke on and a home he can piss all over. That I HAVE a husband that, though he has to be away from home some nights, loves me unconditionally. So, I'm going to take a moment, open the mini-blinds, get a coffee warm up, and thank God for "one of those mornings."

Thank you for the reminder to look at the glass half full. And thank goodness for coffee warm ups!
